Abstract

Adlerian Counseling for midwives: a concept for training and further education The author points out that there are hardly any specialised training or further education programmes in counseling for midwives, despite the fact that counseling is a fundamental aspect of their work. Using an example, the author describes the basic elements which would need to be compulsory in the training curriculum for midwives. She then shows why the Adlerian method is of particular value for the counseling work of midwives.
