Abstract
Affective Commitment is the most important determinant of employees' loyalty and dedication to the organization. Thus, the cultivation and improvement of employees' affective commitment is the focus of HR practice. Researches have proved that employee involvement can effectively improve affective commitment under western culture, but the effect in Chinese context is still left to be explored. Using data from a large group company, we investigate the influence of perceived employee involvement on affective commitment. We find (1) there is a positive relationship between perceived employee involvement and affective commitment; (2) power distance moderates this relationship.
