Abstract

The merits of individual departmental science libraries versus one large unified library have been considered by administrators throughout the country for some time. It seems that there is currently a movement afoot at a number of colleges and universities for the consolidation of physics, chemistry, biology, and other science libraries into one large unit housed in a separate building.
