Abstract

The robust control issues of individual blade pitch control for wind generation system are discussed. According to the wind shear effects on the constant power control above rated wind speed, a robust individual blade pitch controller is designed. The controller is composed of a collective blade pitch regulator based on active disturbance rejection control method and 3 individual blade pitch regulators with disturbance compensation technology. Of the combined controller, the former regulator compensates uncertainties produced by wind speed and wind turbine parameters variation, and restrains electromagnetic torque ripples effectively; as well as the latter regulators restrain the speed ripples and the flapwise aerodynamic loads, and are robust to the frequency and amplitude of collective pitch signal. The theoretical analysis and simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
