Abstract

To determine the present barriers in the implementation of evidence-based physiotherapy practice. The analytical cross-sectional study was conducted in Lahore, Pakistan, from 06 January 2021 to 30th April 2021 and comprised physiotherapists practising either in government facility or in private clinic for a minimum of 2 years and who had either studied or had some idea about evidence-based physiotherapy practice. Data was collected using the Barrier Scale. Data was analysed using SPSS 16. Of the 235 subjects, 104(44.3%) were males and 131(55.7%) were females with an overall mean age of 31.5+9.5 years. Of the total, 151(64.30%) subjects had 2-5 years of experience, and 66(28.10%) had 6-7 years of working experience. There was no significant association of working experience with time on job to implement new ideas and time to read research (p>0.05). The physiotherapist faced barriers at both organisational and individual levels.
