Abstract
Political terrorism is an extremely diverse phenomenon, which attracts many different personalities, so there is no one “terrorist mindset.” Within the wide range of terrorist groups, it is useful to distinguish between “anarchic-ideologues”, such as West Germany’s Red Army Faction and the Brigatta Rossa of Italy, and the nationalist/secessionist groups such as ETA of the Basques and the Provisional Irish Republican Army.
