Abstract

Violations of the vital systems of the body in patients who have undergone covid-19 can persist for a long time in the form of post-covid syndrome, when, in addition to neurological disorders and digestive disorders, there are violations of the motor function and activity of the cardio-respiratory system, which is manifested by a decrease in exercise tolerance, increased fatigue, shortness of breath or cough during exercise, sharp fluctuations in blood pressure, increased heart rate. The article presents the dynamics of the incidence of coronavirus infection among university applicants and the results of assessing the objective physical and functional indicators of physical development and physical fitness of first-year students in comparison with those of fellow students in the post-COVID period. The problem of organizing physical culture classes for students in conditions of the post-COVID period and provides statistics on the gender distribution of physical and functional indicators among those who have recovered from covid-19 in comparison with students of the same age category who have not had a new coronavirus infection. The results of this study confirm the presence of discrepancies in the indicators of first-year university students in terms of general endurance, speed-strength abilities and general physical fitness, which demonstrates the relevance of this study.
