Abstract

Currently, research is underway in the dairy cattle industry aimed at improving the current and developing new methods for evaluating breeding animals. The purpose of the research was to study the indicators of dairy productivity of cows belonging to the genealogical line Wes Back Ideal 1013415 with di˜erent lactation constancy index (LCI). The data from three farms of the Moscow region served as the starting material for a comparative analysis of indicators of milk productivity of cows such as OOO “Agro-industrial complex “Vohrinka”, ZAO “Matveevskoe” and OAO Plemzavod “Povadino”. The research revealed a certain association with the level of the lactation constancy index in cows originating from the same sire, both under the conditions of one farm and in di˜erent farms during I, II and III lactations. Despite the change in belonging to the groups according to the level of LCI in II or III lactations, cows from some sires can achieve higher milk productivity compared to animals that retain belonging to the group with LCI more than 100 %. The change in the belonging of animals to groups according to the level of the lactation constancy index in II or III lactations does not always negatively a˜ect the indicators of milk productivity. The data obtained on the index of lactation constancy and the dynamics of its changes during I, II and III lactations can serve as an additional method (test) for the selection of animals of groups producing the future sires, including the determination of the breeding value of sires.
