Abstract

A predictive model is a temporal snapshot of the Region Of Interest (ROI), meaning that it embodies the knowledge and/or data sets used at the time of its creation and thus it must update whenever new knowledge and/or relevant data sets become available. The application of additive composite halo and indicator ratios for the preparation of geochemical prediction maps is very important. Based on some detailed surveys, that have been conducted on Cheshmeh Noqreh (CHENO) gold deposit in the northeast of Iran, has been defined that this mineralization is epithermal mineralization. CHENO in this study is a reference check and the obtained results were compared to it. By overlapping geochemical gold anomalies in stream sediment with additive composite halo [Au+Ag+Ba+Cu+Pb+Zn], indicator ratio [(Pb × Zn)/Cu2], and epithermal alteration indicator ratio [(Cu+Zn+Pb+Sn)/ (Cu+Zn+Pb+Sn+Rb+Ba)], other epithermal gold mineralization’s ROI are predicted. We also can distinguish epithermal gold anomalies from non-epithermal mineralization.
