Abstract

This essay describes the history, mission and purpose of the newest law school to open in the United States: Indiana Tech Law School. In the fall of 2013, the school welcomes its first class and the faculty, staff, and students are all committed to tackling many of the bigger issues facing legal education. The entire Indiana Tech community considers it a core value to provide to our students an affordable private law school education while focusing on legal theory and history as well as the practical application of lawyering skills. In addition, the institution will place aen emphasis on ethics and professionalism, requiring students to complete three courses in that area of the curriculum. Hopefully, this short piece can serve as a blueprint for schools trying to identify how best to prepare the next generation of law students in a changing professional world.
