Abstract

The present contribution is the fourteenth part of the Social Change Indicators series. We have deliberated on the social and economic challenges due to the pandemic in the previous issues, and the topics covered include vulnerable households, poverty and migration, living conditions, social protection networks, rural labour displacement and health conditions of older adults. In this part, we examine women’s unpaid and unrecognised work in different states of India. We present the state ranking of percentage of persons participating in a day in employment and related activities as major activity in time-use activity classification and then information on percentage of females participating in a day in unpaid activities as well as in non-System of National Accounts (Non-SNA) production, considering all the activities in the time slot.
