Abstract

Indian Sign Language (ISL) serves as a primary means of communication for millions of hearing-impaired individuals in India. However, the lack of comprehensive tools for interpreting ISL poses significant challenges in facilitating effective communication and integration of the deaf community into society. This research paper explores the advancements, challenges, and potential applications of Indian Sign Language detection technology. It provides an overview of existing techniques for ISL detection, including computer vision-based approaches and wearable devices. Additionally, the paper discusses the unique challenges associated with ISL detection, such as variations in gestures and environmental factors.
