Indian School of Business (ISB)'s 10 Year Journey as FT Top Ranked Business School

Abstract

For the first time, the Indian based school, ISB has entered in the ranking in 2008 and since then it has been performing well in FT ranking. So far, the school has been listed in the London based FT ranking for 10 years, and it is a rare achievement for any business school in India. In 2008, the ISB was ranked at position 20 beating many other reputed business schools, and even it was ranked thrice in the top 15, and for the first time in India, it has beaten the No. 1 position of IIMA (ever since the IIMA entered in FT rankings, ISB was behind the IIMA in ranking for many years) in the 2017 ranking. This is good news for the ISB as it has emerged as India's No. 1 business school in the FT ranking by beating schools such as IIMA, IIMB and IIMC. The present article looks at the outstanding performance of the school in the FT MBA ranking.
