India's Foreign Policy in the Changing Scenario: Challenges and Prospects

Abstract

If India has to become a global superpower at the international level, then for this it is very important to solve the challenges in India's path. In 2014, India's Prime Minister Modi, within a year of the inauguration of the 2014 Office of Office, described his goal for India as a "leading role" in global issues. Former Foreign Secretary and current External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar called India's aspirations a leading power and the then Minister of State for External Affairs V.K. Singh envisioned India to become a leading world power. To reach the resolve of making India a world guru, many types of challenges are being faced. In this way, the major challenges in the path of India's foreign policy have been divided into the categories of national and international challenges.

 भारत को यदि अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर वैश्विक महाशक्ति बनाना है तो इसके लिए भारत के मार्ग में आने वाली चुनौतियों का समाधान करना अत्यन्त महत्वपूर्ण है। सन् 2014 में भारत के प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने पदभार समारोह 2014 के उद्घाटन के एक साल के अन्दर ही भारत के लिए अपनें लक्ष्य को वैश्विक मुद्दों में ‘‘अग्रणी भूमिका’’ के रूप में वर्णित किया। पूर्व विदेश सचिव व वर्तमान विदेश मंत्री सुब्रह्मण्यम जयशंकर नें भारत की आकांक्षाओं को अग्रणी शक्ति कहा तथा तत्कालीन विदेश राज्य मंत्री वी. के. सिंह ने भारत को एक अग्रणी विश्व शक्ति बनने की दिशा में कल्पना की। भारत को विश्वगुरू बनाने के संकल्प तक पहुँचानें के लिए अनेक प्रकार की चुनौतियों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। इस प्रकार भारत की विदेश नीति के मार्ग में आनें वाली प्रमुख चुनौतियों को राष्ट्रीय व अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय चुनौतियों की श्रेणियों में विभक्त किया है।
