Abstract

One of the many development problems experienced by an area is poverty. The greater the number of poor people in a region will reflect the inability of the local government to develop and prosper its people. With a poor population of 4.1 million (BPS), East Java Province has the highest number of poor people in Indonesia for the last ten years until 2022. The purpose of this research is to find out how HDI, economic growth, and population factors affect poverty in East Java province with the period from 2013 to 2022. Secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics was used in this study. Multiple linear analysis using panel data from East Java Province from 2013 to 2022 is the data analysis technique used in this study.
