Abstract
This study aims to examine the rate of student satisfaction with the bus transportation in the university campus and the recommendations for the development of e-Tracking application. Both aspects are related to two important activities involving student time management that related to attendance of lectures and co-curricular activities. To date, most of their presence has been supported by the existing bus transportation facility. However, there are some issues related to this transportation such as delays, safety, convenience, and comfort. As a result, it may create the unsatisfactory feelings among the students. In addition, the bus transportation for students is an important matter and it directly has an impact on academic performance and co-curricular activities. Delay or non-attendance in these two activities within a certain period can contribute to the depreciation of student performance. Therefore, this study was established to get the students' perspective on these two aspects. This study was conducted in a quantitative method to discover about student satisfaction based on three constructs, namely safety, convenience, and comfort. A total of 500 undergraduate students answered the questionnaire via Google forms sent via email and Whatsapp. The study data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS software and the results were translated with a student satisfaction index valued from zero to one. The results of the study showed that students had a low level of satisfaction with the three constructs with a value of 0.46 for safety, 0.53 for convenience and 0.51 for comfort. Meanwhile, students strongly agreed if e-Tracking application could be developed as a measure to improve the transportation system. It is hoped that the application can support students to manage time more effectively and in turn have an impact on their academic performance.
