Abstract

A practice-based evaluation within a health Trust in Northern Ireland investigated the impact of the Incredible Years parents and babies programme on parenting self-efficacy. Thirteen mothers of babies aged 2–8 months participated in an 8-week group-based programme. Data were collected using a pre-test and post-test design. Results indicated that mothers reported increased self-efficacy following participation. These results support the use of the Incredible Babies programme in early intervention service provision with very young babies.
