Abstract
Introduction: Computed Tomography Coronary Angiography (CTCA) is increasingly used in Cardiology for the investigation and management of coronary artery disease. It is a multidisciplinary practice that involves nursing, radiography, cardiology and radiology staff. However training guidelines from the conjoint committee for the recognition of training in CTCA only applies to medical staff. Traditionally nursing staff are trained in an apprenticeship style approach- we set out to device a formal syllabus for training of CTCA nursing staff.
