Abstract

In the work, a temperature study of friction discs, of the ring and petal type, made of metal asbestos, was carriedout. The SolidWorks program with the COSMOSWorks Designer software module was used to conduct the research.When performing the calculations, simplified models of overlays were created, grids of finite elements wereconstructed, thermal calculation was performed using heat flow. Next, we will conduct a similar study only with afluoroplastic coating applied to the surface of the pressure disc and the clutch flywheel. The use of fluoroplastic allowsto reduce the heat load on the corresponding surfaces with a coating thickness of 0.1 millimeter by at least 10%.
