Abstract
It is now possible to increase greatly the operational lifetime of rotary lobe pumps by using a multi-wing lobe geometry. This may be achieved without adversely affecting pump efficiency and will reduce overall operating costs, explains Burkhard Verhuelsdonk of German company Hugo Vogelsang Maschinebau GmbH.
