Abstract

The article is devoted to the production technology evaluation problems by the method of Value Analysis (VA). The production technologies’ analysis is of a particular relevance in modern conditions. The article purpose is to adapt the value analysis to the production technology choice with the efficiency increasing possibility. Value Analysis is a universal highly effective method for optimizing parameters and other design, technological, organizational, economic characteristics of the product, works, and services. One of the Value Analysis efficiency indicators is the use of the value level, which characterizes the technologies under the study in the qualitative parameters terms. The hypothesis of the value analysis application possibility to the production technologies comparison is considered. In the article, the value analysis tools are considered on the wooden pallets’ production example. An object structural-element model is being built for different production technologies. The functions’ decomposition is carried out. According to the level criterion, the functions are classified into main and auxiliary ones. The significance and functional costs are determined. A functional-cost diagram is constructed, which allows highlighting of the functions with the greatest deviations that need to be improved. The stages of the value analysis are accompanied by graphic illustrations and tables allowing visual demonstration of the method application logic to the department work. As a result, the justification of the chosen production technology of the machine-building enterprise is formed.
