Abstract
Objective To determine whether Fyn expression was altered in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) compared with unremarkable epithelium (UNR). Methods The Fyn expression was detected in ESCC and compared to the UNR by immunohistachemical staining and Western blotting. Results By immunohistochemical staining Fyn protein expression levels were increased in ESCC (9. 68± 2. 31 ) compared to the esophageal UNR (3.21 ± 1.25 ) ,P <0. 01. The similar results were achieved by Western blotting. Conclusion Fyn may act as an important molecule in the esophageal SCC regulation. Key words: Esophageal neoplasms; Carcinoma,squamous cell; Fyn
