Abstract

ation in giving the meaning of increased P-wave measurements in these patients. As the authors mentioned that cardiac involvement is rarely encountered in patients with Behcet's disease. Therefore, It is not reasonable to suggest a higher prevalence of cardiac involvement in patients with Behcet's disease by using just the data of the present paper. Namely, it is not possible to consider PWD as a marker showing the cardiac pathology in these patients. Some previous studies [12,13] have reported a significant impairment of left ventricular diastolic function in patients with Behcet's disease. In contrast to these data, Bozkurt et al. [14] have shown that there is no significant difference between patients with Behcet's disease and healthy controlsubjectsragardingtheleftventriculardiastolicfunctions. Due to these contrary findings, it might be better to see the left ventricular diastolic functions, and their relation with P-wave measurements in the present paper.
