Abstract
Recent studies demonstrated that pulsed-type focused ultrasound with high-pressure can trigger anti-tumor immune response. On the other hand, it has been reported that mechanical HIFU with ultrasound contrast agent (UCA) can enhance cavitation effects, which could increase membrane permeability and cell apoptosis. In this study, we aim to combine HIFU with a low pressure but with the microbubble can also trigger immune response.
