Abstract

Mediastinal teratoma is a relatively rare disease that usually contains tissue from the endoderm, mesoderm, and ectoderm. We report a finding that mediastinal benign teratoma showed intense FAPI activity on 68Ga-FAPI PET/CT, which may lead to misdiagnosis of this benign lesion. It is necessary to realize that benign teratoma is also one of the reasons for the intense FAPI uptake in mediastinal masses, so as not to be misdiagnosed as a malignant tumor.
