Abstract

The acousto-optic (AO) processor used for the simultaneous measurement of radio signal phase difference and frequency is a new and powerful AO device that can be used to detect and recognize radio sources. The main parameter decisive in its application is the precision of phase and frequency measurement. This paper describes the construction and principle of operation of this processor, a theoretical model of the cross-talk phenomenon, experimental results, and the accuracy of measurements with a correction function.
