Abstract
A new Geomorphologic Instantaneous Unit Hydrograph is proposed. It includes the position of the tributary links in the fluvial network which was not considered in previous developments. The resulting hydrograph shows significative differences with the original model of Rodríguez-Iturbe and Valdés (1979), modifying the ordinate and the time of ocurrence of the peak. These differences increase when the overland flow effects are included. There is not a unique hydrograph for distinct watersheds with similar Horton ratios.
