Abstract

This paper discusses the need to include the IPv6 protocol in the curricula associated with Informatics and Computing Engineering. It provides a concrete example of how it was incorporated in Computer Engineering at Universidad Nacional de Tucuman. Presents a three-stage plan for the full articulation of the subject in the area of computer networks, and how this plan is currently being implemented. Specifically, this paper details the agenda, schedule of classes, minimum equipment needed for experimentation and laboratory practice, annotated bibliography and finally the human resource development carried out. This work is intended as a guide for other universities in the region to include this subject in their curricula.
