Abstract

In this paper we are proposing an incoherent optical processor which can perform Abet inversion. Construction of the processor is based on Tchebycheff and Zernike orthogonal polynomial series expansion. It is shown that series expansion coefficients together with series summation, can be easily computed optically (using cylindrical optics). Preliminary experimental results are presented.© (1989) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering. Downloading of the abstract is permitted for personal use only.
