Abstract

The ease for including Regge-out corrections to the Mueller-Regge formalism is now well documented (1) and will not be repeated here. An inclusive tensor-meson production reaction such as : : -~ -p -+ f~ which should be produced mainly through pion exchange, should provide useful evidence of such cut corrections through the divergence of the decay density matrices of the fo from the predictions of the Mueller-Regge model with Reggeized pion exchange. Let us consider the general single-particle inclusive process a~-b-+c~-X, where we will identify a with a pseudoscalar meson and c with a tensor meson. The differential cross-section for this single-particle inclusive process is related to the forward M2-disoontinuity of the related 3-+3 scattering amplitude (~). Assuming M 2 duality we have the Muellcr-Regge diagram of fig. 1 (without the initial-state rescattering correction) with the pseudoscalar current at the three-particle meson vertex (0-, 0-, 2 +) given by J5 = hPuQ~(~q~5)(D + 2S),
