Abstract

Using the factorizable character ofamplitudes for the double diffractive process in the Landshoff-Nachtmannmodel, we have discussed the inclusive glueball production in high-energypp collisions via the fusion process of two non-perturbative gluons, andhave compared it with the double diffractive alike process. We found that,as the c.m. energy Ecms increases from 20 to 20 000 GeV, thecross sections of the latter process are about one to two orders largerthan the former. Such an outcome could be explained from the hypothesis ofduality between glueballs and pomeron.
