Abstract

Most of the baryons produced from unpolarized p‐Nucleus collisions are polarized. The most studied baryon is Λ0 from p‐Nucleus in both inclusive and exclusive reactions; Λ0 polarization is described by P(Xf,Pt) = aXfPt; where a is independent of the beam energy but dependent on the target. The above equation fits very well, within statistical errors, Λ0 polarization produced in inclusive reactions. The polarization of Λ0 from inclusive pp reactions is consistent with Λ0 polarization from inclusive pp reactions. The parameter a is independent of the beam energy but depends on the nature of the target or beam: for pp reactions, a = 0.280 ± 0.0280, χ2dof = 1.281; for K+p reactions a = 1.142±0.231, χ2dof = 0.931; for pBe reactions, a = 0.027 ± 0.035, χ2dof = 0.502; for Σ−(C+Cu) reactions, a = 0.069 ± 0.110, χ2dof = 0.464.
