Abstract

In this article, the author chose to reveal the secrets surrounding two surprising samples of aquamarine from her collection, through the reading and understanding of their inclusions, emphasized both for their beauty and for their remarkable gemological qualities. In the first sample, a star Brazilian aquamarine cabochon, it is possible to observe marvelous fluid inclusions which looks like colored « confetti » as well as more or less filled channels, both showing amazing interference colors. The second sample, corresponds to a prismatic crystal from Pakistan, and reveals two-phase negative crystals as well as hexagonal growth structures, never before described in an aquamarine.
