Abstract

The inclusion properties of piroxicam(PX) by β-cyclodextrin(β-CD),hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin(HP-β-CD),and sulfobutyl ether-β-cyclodextrin(SBE-β-CD) were studied by fluorescence spectroscopy,differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and NMR at different pH.The results showed that the 1∶ 2.5 inclusion compounds were formed between piroxicam and CDs.Based on the formation constants,which were 2.0×106,1.8×106,1.2×106 in neutral media,the inclusion capacity showed the order of SBE-β-CDHP-β-CDβ-CD.
