Abstract

A 57-year-old woman previously diagnosed as cervical cancer underwent an 18 F-FDG PET/CT scan for restaging. A pelvic encapsulated effusion with intense FDG accumulation was incidentally revealed. The tracer activity was similar to that of urine, indicating presence of urinary leakage. Subsequent CT urography confirmed the complete avulsion of the right distal ureter.
