Abstract

Background: Several factors are responsible for making the pelvic floor muscles weak, among them is pregnancy, a period in which several changes occur in the woman's body. Female sexual dysfunctions are disorders that can appear in some of the phases of a woman's sexual response cycle, making it difficult to achieve pleasure during intercourse. Aims: Investigate the incidence of sexual dysfunction in women who had a single birth in less than two years. Method: This is a quantitative, descriptive exploratory study, data collection was performed through questionnaires: sample characterization, FSFI (Female Sexual Function Index) and QS-F (sexual quotient-female version). Results: 40 women participated in the study with a mean age of 26.2 years in which 80% of the sample does not have sexual dysfunction. Conclusion: sexual dysfunction was uncommon in the two-year postpartum period. However, when we consider the questionnaires developed by the researchers, there is a higher rate of sexual dysfunction.
