Abstract
Milk from 36 milk transport tankers was tested on two occasions for the presence of listeria monocytogenes.The incidence was found to be 2.8% and 11.1%, respectively.The incidence of the organism in 426 bulk tank milk samples from Central and Southern Alberta was 1.9%. The utility of Fraser broth, LPM agar, Oxford agar, and ALP AMY agar in the isolation of L. monocytogenes is discussed.
