Abstract

Purpose: Oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are the most commonly used pharmaceutical for arthritic pain worldwide. Given the chronic and often fluctuating nature of OA symptoms and the resulting need for long-term therapeutic solutions, assessing the risks of NSAIDs over a long time period is important. Currently, there is a large body of evidence around adverse events (AEs) linked to NSAIDs use, thus little is known about the timing and evolution of comorbidities among OA patients in real-world settings.
