Abstract

Background: Left ventricular (LV) thrombus formation is a well-recognised complication following ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Contrast-enhanced cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CE-CMRI) outperforms transthoracic echocardiography in the detection of left ventricular thrombus following reperfused STEMI. This study aimed to examine the incidence and predictors of LV thrombus following STEMI.
