Abstract

For the first time, the AGU Fall Meeting will include a Science and Policy Union Lecture, which will focus on the role that science and scientists play in policy.The inaugural lecture will be given by John Holdren, who is the assistant to the president for science and technology, cochair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, and director, Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), Executive Office of the President. The title of Holdren's presentation is “Scientists, Science Advice, and Science Policy in the Obama Administration.”
