But their data do not support their conclusion, as paraphrased in their abstract: "The urinary ADH response to water loading allows the certain diagnosis of inappropriate ADH syndrome. . . ." Although the antidiuretic hormone excretion was dramatically different from "normal" in their patients with the syndrome, no data on patients with hyponatremia and congestive heart failure, myxedema, or cirrhosis were presented.
