Inapplicability, Redundancy and Uncertainty of UML

Abstract

Three problems i.e. inapplicability, redundancy, uncertainty of UML are discussed. In order to solve these problems, some ideas are given, including using business variables instead of classes, using system discrete events instead of use case diagrams, using requirement function instead of statechart diagram. New life cycle model is studied. New core ideas are proposed, including that requirement can not be refined step by step, and white box testing and black box testing are no longer differentiated but white box branches and black box branches are distinguished. Finally, the next step work is given.
