Abstract

An experimental in vivo radiographic method of studying the fine vessels of the bowel wall is described. Vessels with an intraluminal diameter as small as 25 to 50 μ are visualized with this technic. The procedure utilizes direct bowel-film contact radiography with subsequent photographic magnification. The value and possible uses for the technic are outlined and a number of examples are demonstrated.
