Abstract

Several in vivo studies have been carried out on the effect of vitamin D3 analogues on epidermal proliferation, keratinization and inflammation in psoriasis. Vitamin D3 analogues have a pronounced effect on epidermal proliferation, keratinization and accumulation of neutrophils in psoriatic lesional skin. Of these effects the antiproliferative effect proved to be a sustained and prolonged action of vitamin D3 analogues.
