Abstract

A method of detecting and determining the size of DNA molecules in the chromosomal size range (10 9 to 10 11 g/mol) is described. It is proposed to apply the method to tissue biopsies from target organs of animals treated with agents whose activity as clastogens toward DNA one wishes to test. Problems of developing such an in vivo test system are presented. Preliminary results of a detection method are reported.
