Abstract

Osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) of the humeral trochlea can occur among adolescent gymnasts or throwing athletes. However, the natural history and treatment strategy remain unclear because of its low incidence. The aim of this report was to determine the biomechanical influence of trochlear OCD on the elbow joint by analyzing three-dimensional in-vivo joint biomechanics in a trochlear OCD case.
