Abstract Media containing Murashige and Skoog (MS) inorganic salts at full and halfstrength concentrations supplemented with 3% sucrose, 0.8% agar, and (in mg/liter) 1.0 indolebutyric acid (IBA), 0.5 thiamine, 0.5 nicotinic acid, 0.5 pyridoxine, 2.0 glycine, and 100 myo-inositol were most effective in rooting shoot tips of embryo-cultured peach [Prunus persica (L.) Batsch] seedlings.
