Abstract

RATIONALE: The measurement of low-level allergen-specific IgE (sIgE) antibodies indicates the existence of an IgE-mediated process and sensitization to allergen(s). Here we examined the specificity, sensitivity, and reproducibility of an in vitro sIgE assay for the detection of sIgE below the standard classification cutoff level of 0.35 kU/L.
