Abstract
• Demonstrate patient tumor slice organoid (PTSO) as an in vitro rapid platform in identifying cisplatin-resistant patients. • Water soluble tetrazolium salt (WST-8) assay was used a viability test for determining cisplatin-resistance. • Cisplatin-resistance data obtained within 5 days after the initiation of PTSO culture. • Report cisplatin-resistance of a male 43 years with recurrent tongue cancer as validated from the patient's survival periods.
