Abstract

Adrenochrome monosemicarbazone, vitamin C, nicotinic acid, epsilon aminocaproic acid, 4-aminobutyric acid, sodium salicylate, and adrenochrome isonicotinic acid hydrazone were tested for antifibrinolytic activity in vitro. Adrenochrome monosemicarbazone, epsilon aminocaproic acid, 4-aminobutyric acid, and adrenochrome isonicotinic acid hydrazone were found to exert an antifibrinolytic effect. Vitamin C was considered to have minimal effect and nicotinic acid and sodium salicylate were ineffective.
